So what could I gain then ? - The 'carrot' approachFleet driver assessment and trainingOther than staying in business and out of jail you mean ? You will reduce the chances of your drivers being involved in any collision - there are no 'accidents'. Quite often you will hear people proudly boasting that they haven't had an accident that was 'their fault'. So being killed in an accident that wasn't your fault is OK then ? You will reduce, or at least stop rises on your vehicle insurance costs. You will reduce maintenance costs. You will get less hassle You will be 'training to gain' - there is lots of evidence to suggest that a well trained and motivated workforce is a more efficient one. Remember training is entirely tax deductible in 'year 1' - it is very tax efficient. |

Eco drivingInvest in new 'eco friendly' vehicle technology ? I get well over 30% better fuel efficiency in terms of mpg out of my Citroen C4 1.6 turbo diesel than the 'eco friendly' Toyota Prius. The latest BMW 1 series official figures are still below my own mpg - and they are spending a fortune advertising how 'green' their car is. Spend less on fuel - reduce running costs. Simple but true. Trailer trainingDo you really want your drivers in your vehicles without the correct licence ? Get them trained and you don't get prosecuted for 'permitting the offence. Sounds like a winner. It is of course tax deductible. |
